Adjacent to the Mokelumne River, Woodbridge lies approximately three miles northwest of the city of Lodi, in San Joaquin County. The community was named for settler Jeremiah H. Woods, who built a bridge here in 1858. The community is the home of the famous Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi winery.

This town of nearly 2,000 people, and five restored buildings, Woodbridge is gradually becoming the retreat center for the affluent. The town is located one mile east by State Highway 99 and several miles to the west by Interstate 5.

Woodbridge is home to the Woodbridge Golf & Country Club, a private, non-profit, member owned golf and country club. The Club was established in 1924 by Claude Holmes and was originally built at the site where the Elks Lodge currently is located off our number Four River Course. In 1957, the site was moved and the current Clubhouse was built. The Club not only prides its self on having 27 holes of golf, but is one of the very few courses located on a California river (The Mokelumne River).

Resident students attend the schools of the Lodi Unified School District. The district located in San Joaquin County, California. It encompasses the cities of Stockton and Lodi and currently has roughly 28,396 students. Due to the large student population, the district maintains a year round calendar for grades K-8. The high schools, rural schools, and community day schools operate on a modified traditional calendar.
